LGBTQIA Mind-Body Movement

How to attend and what to bring

LGBTQIA+ Mind-Body Movement sessions take place from 20:00-21:00 on the last Wednesday of each month in Coolcotts Community Centre (Y35 HV07). These sessions are an opportunity for queer folk to spend time in-community and explore movement in a safe, supportive, no-pressure environment. This is a space of curiosity and exploration, inviting you to discover how it feels to move intuitively with your body, not against it.

Attendees should wear comfy clothes, bring along some water and a yoga mat (if you have one - there will also be yoga mats provided)

Your instructor, CC (they/them), is trained in facilitating groups that are trauma-informed, size-inclusive, disability-friendly and neuroaffirming.

No prior sign-up is required, but if you need additional support or are nervous about attending, please don't hesitate to contact us.

Inclusivity and accessibility:

This is a safe, non-judgmental space for all LGBTQIA+ people. We are committed to creating safer, non-judgmental and accountable community spaces. We have zero tolerance for racism and bigotry and openly welcome BIPOC, Traveller & Roma, and immigrant groups.

This is also a neuro-affirming space. We encourage attendees to take movement breaks, stim, and bring stimming aids as needed.
