Wexford Pride Annual Symposium 2025
Wexford Pride's 2nd Annual Symposium returns this year at High Meadows' Community Hub from 10 am - 4pm on Sunday 28th September. The symposium is the creation of a collective of Wexford Pride community members to platform shared knowledge, interests, persecptives and causes while fundraising to support the almost 100 community-led spaces, groups and peer support spaces taking place throughout the year.
Tickets are €10.00 and are available to be purchase online or on the door on the day.
Last year's event raised nearly €600.00 contributing toward Pride Goes to Prom - Wexford's first LGBTQIA+ second chance prom/debs celebration organised by Wexford Pride community members. Building upon the sucess of last year's event, this year a portion of funds will go toward the development of Wexford Pride LGBTQIA+ Retreat this autummn.
Members of the LGBTQIA+ community are invited to prepare a short presentation on a topic they're passionate about, last year's presentations' spanned from human rights, reconnecting with nature, the history of the Irish LGBTQIA+ movement, sprirtuality, sexual fluiditiy, languages of protest and more. Tickets
Tickets are €10.00 with the option to add a donation if you wish. Tickets can be purchased online or on the door. All proceeds go toward funding community events and groups throughout the year, including this year’s LGBTQIA+ Retreat taking place in October.
Accessibility & Inclusion
Highmeadows Community Hub is a wheelchair-accessible venue. The structure of the day allows for attendees to come and go as they wish, we do ask however to show respect to those presenting to leave/enter between each presentation. Where attendees need to leave during a presentation, please do so quietly. There will be short breaks between presentations for attendees to move, use the bathroom or grab something to eat.
Photography & Video
There will be photos taken on the day for the purposes of capturing the event for promotional and archival purposes. If you do not wish to be included in photographs please make it known to a member of the committee on the day (visble by rainbow lanyards).
