Community Announcement & EGM

Wexford Pride would like to share that Vic Victor-Kelly (they/them) will be stepping down from their role as Treasurer on the Wexford Pride Committee from today Thursday 26th September 2024.

Over the past two years, Vic has brought incredible expertise, dedication, and heart to their role that has enriched and supported our community. We’re grateful for everything they’ve contributed as a committee member, and we’re happy they’ll continue to be part of the Wexford Pride community going forward.

Extraordinary General Meeting

As per our constitution, Wexford Pride will hold an Extraordinary General Meeting (EGM) at 7PM on Friday 4th October to elect a new Treasurer. This will take place online via Google Meets. The Treasurer should have a sufficient level of financial expertise to cover the responsibilities, as such a suitably qualified individual has been nominated to assume this role. An EGM provides an opportunity for Wexford Pride membership to vote on the election of this individual. If elected they will hold this role until the Annual General Meeting, which will take place on Friday 15th November 2024 (full details will be available in the coming weeks). At the Annual General Meeting, members can nominate themselves to run for the position of Treasurer, alongside other committee positions, for the 2024-2025 committee.

You can access full details of our constitution and election process here: https://wexfordpride.ie/policies.
